Start from the top and clean with the direction of the siding.

Make sure to dilute any concentrated soaps like dish soap.
From there rinse the area with clean water.
If you prefer to use a soft cloth to handle the debris wet it and wipe the siding until it is clean and once again rinse with the hose.
Do not push soft brush or wet cloth too hard against product surface.
Be sure to completely rinse it free of any soap residue.
Now you can clean away the dirt and lightly scrub the siding.
If using a soft cloth wet the cloth then wipe the area in a side to side motion in the direction of the plank shingle or panel siding until clean.
Regularly rinse out the cloth or sponge as you work to avoid spreading any grime around on the siding.
In most cases this is the best method for cleaning your hardie board siding.
Never use a hard or abrasive brush to clean cement fiber siding.
Always clean and rinse from the top of the siding to the bottom so that grime gets washed away instead of spread around on the siding.
Be sure to use a soap with no harsh chemicals as these can damage fiber cement siding.
This can make cleaning harder and even potentially cause damage.
Then rinse with the hose.
If using a brush brush the siding s surface dust or dirt then rinse the area with a garden hose.
Any areas that have been missed may show up when the siding has dried.
Use a side to side motion when cleaning horizontal planks.
Take your soft brush and use it along the siding to remove the dust or chalk that you want to clean.
Pressure power washing.
Gently clean the siding with the soft brush or wet soft cloth in a side to side motion in the direction of the plank siding.
A little goes a long way.
Don t let soap or cleansers dry on the siding.
Do not allow the soap and mildew cleaner to dry on the siding continually rinse the area until all of the cleaner has washed off of the siding.
